Boy band? I think not.

Clearly Emblem3 doesn't want to be portrayed as a "boy band."

As Wesley stated, "We're really not trying to be like a boy band you know we play all our own instruments. We play all our heart and soul in it."

I think that Emblem3 has proved to us that they are not a boy band. We shouldn't portray them as one. To me they are much more than a boy band.

What is the definition of a boy band?

According to Wikipedia a boy band is a vocal group consisting of young male singers in their teens or twenties. And by being vocal groups, band members do not play instruments.

On top of being vocalists they all play their own instruments. The trio are musicians that have so much talent. Each member brings something special to the band.

Who are they?

Left to right: Drew Chadwick, Wesley Stromberg, and Keaton Stromberg

Emblem3. Who are they you may ask?

These boys grew up in Sequim, Washington, and moved to Huntington Beach, California to pursue their passion for music. Members in the band include: the Stromberg brothers Wesley 19, and Keaton 16, along with their childhood friend Drew Chadwick 20.

Well Emblem3 auditioned on the X Factor. They aired on the first episode of X Factor on September 9, 2012. Singing an original song was a risky move at their audition and this decision would either make or break them. I believe that singing their original song “Sunset Blvd,” written by Drew Chadwick, was the best thing that they could have done, and many Emblems would agree. It showed their true colors.
